The standard version of Theysohn twin screws are long-term nitrided and molybdenum-coated flights. Molybdenum coatings from THEYSOHN have proven to be particularly resistant to sliding and emergency running. In other applications, welded wear protection coatings made of stellite, Ni/C-based alloys and specially developed and modified tungsten carbide alloys are used
All barrels are made of high-quality nitriding steel. A very high uniform hardening depth and honed bores guarantee a long service life.
The machining techniques in conjunction with the appropriate materials and the experience of our qualified production team ensure maximum dimensional accuracy. Long-term nitriding at great depth gives the barrels very good wear resistance.
THEYSOHN selects specially developed alloys to line all types of twin screw barrels with so-called bimetallic liners for maximum wear and corrosion resistance.
All bimetallic alloys are optimally matched to THEYSOHN's own twin screw coating systems and guarantee optimum service life and process results. The THEYSOHN system can be used for all process units on the market and sets new standards in terms of price and performance.
